Foundations

If there’s any make-up product I always am switching up or trying out, it will always be foundation. To me foundation does more than just cover imperfections but it allows us to have an even surface to apply the rest of the face. For example a girl who wears eye shadow or mascara but does not have an even skin tone will make her imperfections show up more than her beautifully applied eye shadow.
Throughout the years I have always been more of a foundation girl rather than a eyeshadow, mascara, blush, etc
Thus I have tried plenty of foundations to have a say. Not everyone will agree with me but if you want the exact coverage or the same type of skin this advice might help you.
Coverage I like:
                Full coverage
-          I don’t really care if it looks like I’m wearing make-up. The whole point of wearing make-up is to make sure that your makeup is staying and doing its job. I’m not talking about natural makeup because if you want a natural look, might as well not wear makeup. Who are you kidding?
-          Long Lasting
My type of skin:
-          EXTREMELY oily. Even though having oily skin is a blessing, it does not always look so great after a couple of hours of wearing foundation. ( looks like I just finished working out)
-          Dry only around my mouth which makes my foundation to look patchy and flaky just around my mouth.
-          PORES visible to the extreme. Having oily skin makes my pores look bigger and cause break outs depending on what foundation I use.

To sum it up:
-          I have chosen 4 foundations I’ve tried that I will keep repurchasing. If you seem to have the same concerns I recommend these 4 foundations.

*NOTE*
I do airbrush occasionally. If you rather save the money for a Holy Grail product I recommend buying an airbrush system. GIVES THE BEST COVERAGE, RESULTS, AND LASTING POWER =]

The types of foundations I've tried
Dior - Diorskin Nude
Laura Mercier- Silk creme foundation
Chanel- Perfection Lumiere
Mac- prolong wear
Maybelline: super stay
Lorac- Natural performance
No.7 intelligent balance mousse foundation
Maybelline- fit me
Revlon- colorstay
Maybelline- age rewind
Mac- studio fix fluid
Loreal- true match

4 Foundations I love

Dior skin nude: $47
This foundation gives a Dewey finish. Having oily skin you tend to try to avoid
Dewey finish but with this foundation it balances my skin type. The coverage is medium to build able. (Does not give cakey appearance)

Laura Mercier Silk creme: $42
this foundation is FULL COVERAGE. this has to be my number 1 foundation that allows me to get
full coverage with one coat. It's finish is semi powdery. Long Lasting. This has been my favorite foundation
since March 2011 till today =]

Maybelline Super stay: $9.99-13.99
This is my only drugstore favorite and its my second favorite foundation! This is a full coverage foundation.
Long lasting! The finish is semi matte, but after wearing it for 5 hours i tend to get alittle shiny in my T zone.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere $55
If your looking for a matte foundation, defiantly go and get a sample of this one. It gives the prettiest finish and the lasting power is amazing! I did not get oily after working a 8 hour shift and i did not have to touch up at all.

Foundations I've tried, and have returned:
1. Cover FX:
- Sucked!!!!!! the weirdest coverage ever! It claims to be full coverage but honestly its a light to medium. It got me extremely oily and blotchy! yuck!
2.Clinique even better
Left a cakey, blotchy finish, got me oily, coverage was meduim.
3. Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation
- even though it was full coverage, the finish was blotchy and left me oily after 3 hours of wearing it.
4. Make-up Forever
-Might as well not wear foundation if you plan to wear MUFE! It lasted on my face for less than an hour. coverage was medium to full. I got oily in that hour.

Growing My Hair Longer

 HAAAY!
I'm going to share my story and my ongoing journey with Hair growth =]

So here is a picture of my hair today! (September 11, 2011)
                                                                Back View
Front View

So to me this journey never ends! I've been trying to grow my hair long ever since 8th grade when i was 14 years of age. In 8th(2007) grade this asian lady cut my hair extremely short (boy short), I died a bit when I realized that my hair looked like a  wannabe dark skin emo kids hair cut! :/ I've never had my hair that short! it was up to my jaw line but the good thing about back then was that my hair was not frizzy, it was not dyed, and it was healthy.

I KNOW hair grows! and I'm not trying to be a drama queen
but hair to me means a lot, and I HATE when people tell me
"omg you're hair will grow": in my mind i say "Bitch it will but
not as fast as i would like it to!" and in that matter my hair has
never really grown that fast or at a noticeable pace.
After that awful haircut my hair DID NOT grow! Literally my hair stayed that
short for a year until i cut it again!
( I believe that certain haircuts manage to affect our hair growth)
Any who long story short
- I dyed my hair in 2007
-It became dry, brittle, thicker (not good thick), frizzy, and unruly.
As many hair products i thought would work on my hair, it Failed! -__-
So i gave up and it did grow a bit
but in 2009
i cut my hair again, not as short as in 2007 but it had to many layers
that it made my hair look shorter than it really was.
I did research on hair growth and I think I tried most things.
I used a special oil for hair growth- it did not work. all it did was make my hair greasy and smelly!
then i decided to start taking Biotin pills which help promote hair growth, and nail growth.
I did not hesitate to buy it! I used it for 6 months and it helped BUT it made me break out really bad!!!!!!
LIKE REALLY BAD! so i stopped! lol

AND NOW:
I'm not as crazy about my hair growing but i just want my hair to grow longer
so i can get "my big trim" and chop off the "split ends"

I'm using 2 things
-Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin, and Nails vitamins
and
-Omega 3 fish oil vitamins.
                                                    I bought mine at Costco
                                                  Price: around $12
Promotes: Lustrous Hair, Strong Nails, Vibrant Skin
Idk what these pills are for but on August of 2010 I took them for 2 months
and my hair got much longer than it did with the Biotin pills. I stopped taking them because
i thought it was breaking me out, (it wasn't the case)
I heard on youtube that these pills can help with growing out your hair and also for much more but not related to this issue. lol

I know that people might think I'm crazy and obsessed about growing my hair
long, but IDGAF! I want to share my experience and journey with you and help out any gal or sir
or to whoever wants to get healthy long hair.
I am going to update my blog every 2 weeks :]

These are vitamins, they wont kill me. but if your a worry wore go check it out with your pharmacist.

(Experienced Facts:)
-Cutting your hair every 6 weeks is bullshit! You are basically cutting out the hair that
took you a month to grow. *All your doing is getting rid of spilt ends, which may be
good but not good to grow your hair out.
-Straightneing your hair too much will cause you to damage your hair.
After I had my haircut (2009) i did not straighten my hair at all
* If anything maybe once out of the 4 months
and my hair GREW so much! Well more than it did before.
I'm not saying don't straighten your hair, but defiantly decrease your use of heat products =]

P.S These pills do NOT make your armpit, leg, private part, hair grow faster LMAO!

P.P.S.S Next makeup look is going to be an inspired look of Britney Spears' make up in her music video: I'm a Slave 4 U =]
Might be up tomorrow =]

Worn out, Crack abuser, Dead Look =[

CRACK COCAINE lol

So this was very fun to do because the fake injury on my face
Was not part of the look at first but I decided to add it since it would make
The look funny! =]
Anywho this is very simple to do and I hope you enjoy!=]

Products:
I used a coastal scents pallet (only use matte shade)
Colors:
-black
-red
-pink
-blue
Baby powder
2 blending brush
Foundation

To start off you don’t really need foundation
But I used it to make my skin more even and
I also used a lighter foundation.
I didn’t apply it under my eye since I want to embrace
My dark circles =]

So on one of the blending brushes i mixed a red and black shadow and taped the excess
so it wont look to pigmented under my eye.

After i applied a blue shade and made sure there was not
going to be any fall out so TAP YOUR BRUSH! =]
Then blend your under eye with the clean blending brush =]
After i used a pink shade to the end of my
under eye to give the illusion of a swollen eye =]
So after that i used a brown shade and contoured the side of
my nose going down to make it look like my nose is fucked up lol
you need to blend it or else it will leave a nasty harsh line
(use the clean blending brush)
*one side is blending and the other one isn't in the pic below*

After blending =]
Then use bby powder and apply it on your face
(if your darker than me, it will work fine since its translucent, just blend all over)
I think pale lips will give the look a better pay off
so i used my foundation and tapped it onto my lips with my fingers =]
the look is complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =]

Arabic Look

Hey! So I've been wanting to do an Arabic look for
awhile now. I find this look extremely different from many other looks
People can do. The eye shadow is bold and dramatic, so this might not be something
You would wear to school, or small errands. This is perfect for a costume party, Halloween, or an Arab theme something lol.

So for this look i used these colors. Just the 4 right colors =]

And these brushes! :]
1. Flat Brush
2. Mac 217
3. Blending brush from Target =]

Alright so to start off, you should apply primer blahh blah!!
So after that i used scotch tape and lined it from the end of my water line going upwards to my brow :]
and After that i applied NYX jumbo penicl in "milk" to my brow bone

                                 !!!!!!!!!!!!WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Its going to look extremely messy at first!)

It should look something like this!
After you will blend with a blending brush

tatata!!! lol
after I used a creamy
Champagne shade to my entire lid working my way to
my brow bone but not going on top of “milk”
Then i used a midnight blue shade and with the same
blending brush i used to blend "milk" i used it to apply
it on my outer corner working my way to my crease

after i applied a light purple eyeshadow to blend the
blue and purple together but NOT touching our highlight.

maybe in this pic you can sort of tell i have a mixture of
purple and a midnight blue. :]
***********************
Then I used a dark blue and intensified my outer corner
only. not my crease! :]
Finished look!
P.S
Even though I have dramatic eye look
the Arab make up look always has colored lips
no matter the color you use on your eyes! :]
I decided to used Coral Crush by Maybelline :]

Soft Smokey Eye look! =]

This look is a very soft smokey eye, which I think is great for any formal event.

Products Used:
My Favorite pallet EVER! Is by Urban Decay - Naked!
I love neutrals and this pallet gives a great selection. Its alittle pricy
but TRUST ME its worth it!! ;]
I'm also using Inglot - Pearl 395 eyeshadow for the brow bone highlight ;]
and lastly Senna -Mirage!
I used Urban Decay Primer which will help your eyeshadow from creasing
and it will make it long lasting.
An alternative primer is from ELF for only $1 available in Target =]

Step 1:
Apply your primer all over your lid1 =]
Next I will be taking Inglot pearl to highlight my brow bone.
I work my way from top to bottom
because i find it will be easier to blend your entire eyeshadow =]
Step 2:
Then I used a blending brush and used Senna eyeshadow above my crease to make my crease more
visible and easier to make the other shadows blend =]

Step 3:

On a pencil brush I used Buck and applied it to my crease

Step 4:
On a flat eyeshadow brush I used Sin and applied it on my lid

Step 5:

On the same flat brush but on the other side I used Toasted and applied it on the 2nd half of my
lid and blended both sin and toasted together.

Step 6:

On the same penicl brush we used buck on, i used a black shimmery
eyshadow, (creep)
and applied it to my outer corner in a
'V' shape.

Step 7:
Blend =]

Lastly I applied, Eyeliner and falsies =]
FINISHED LOOK =]
